How Cheetah Protects Traders
Learn how Cheetah approaches wallet security, self-custody, transaction approvals and account protection.
Our approach to your funds and safety
Trading memecoins quickly should not mean giving up control of your money or flying blind on token safety. Cheetah gives you an embedded wallet you can withdraw from at any time, transaction approvals you initiate, and liquidity checks that flag deteriorating tokens. Here is exactly how each piece works, including an honest description of custody.
How custody actually works
When you start, Cheetah provisions a Solana wallet for you and stores its keys in encrypted form. You fund it by sending SOL to its address, and you can withdraw your funds to any external wallet whenever you want. Nothing locks you in.
Controls that keep you in the loop
Withdraw anytime
Your SOL and tokens are yours to move. Withdraw to an external wallet whenever you like , there is no lock-up.
Encrypted keys
The wallet’s keys are stored encrypted rather than left in plain sight, so day-to-day trading does not expose them.
You initiate trades
Buys and sells happen because you tap to execute them (or because of controls you set, like copy trading and stop-loss). You decide the amount, priority fee and slippage.
Liquidity checks
Rug and liquidity health checks flag warning signs on a token so you can react and try to exit before things get worse.
Token-safety tooling
Memecoins carry real scam risk, rug pulls, honeypots, sudden liquidity removal. Cheetah runs rug and liquidity health checks to surface those warning signs and help you exit a position that is turning bad. Alongside it you can set stop-loss and take-profit levels so your exits are planned rather than reactive.
Be clear about the limits: no automated check catches every scam, on-chain conditions change in seconds, and exits can slip in thin liquidity. These tools improve your odds and your reaction time, they do not eliminate risk. Learn the manual red flags too in how to identify memecoin scams.
Account safety basics
- Withdraw profits you are not actively trading rather than leaving everything in the app.
- Keep the device and account you use to access Cheetah secured, and be alert to phishing. Cheetah will never ask you to send funds to “verify” a wallet.
- Start with demo (paper) trading and small live amounts while you learn the interface.
- Only trade with money you can afford to lose, position sizing is your first line of defense.
What we do not claim
We will not pretend otherwise: Cheetah cannot guarantee profits, cannot eliminate risk, and does not make your trades MEV-proof. Rug checks reduce, but do not remove, the chance of getting caught in a scam. Security here means giving you control and information, not certainty.
